Somatic Approach to Immersives

Immersive Yoga is luxury for the soul. When we dive into an immersive, somatically, we make a choice to take a longer time to adjust, relax, reset and to focus into some of the issues, that show up in our body, and perhaps causing pain, anxiety or depression in our life.
An Immersive invites us to bring full attention with a naturally intense focus to explore the comfort and challenges of some of our best loved practices and the joy of discovering new ones. This is a way of playing to our strengths as we start to discover new ones. It's the win-win of a deep-dive, being present and showing up for every little thing, whether pleasant, unpleasant or neutral. It is about welcoming Joy! This is the wisdom of yoga.

Value of a Deep Dive
When we take a deep-focus for a specified time, as in meditation, we enter the Witness State of Consciousness. It is from the Stillpoint at the centre where we may observe old habits and distractions as part of the background noise and find respite from the chaos of an over-active and extremely busy mind.
Deep-Longer sessions are essential for developing Compassion and Loving Kindness on the path of self-care. They help us embrace an Attitude of Gratitude and also to notice how this helps to cool the mind and soothe the heart while bringing comfort to the body. Gratitude is the key to welcoming positive change. This is The Yoga of Compassion. Blog News

Alex
I find longer classes helpful.
At first I doubted whether
I could do it for four hours.
Kathryn re-assured me
that the pace is entirely up me.
I like the feeling of being at ease with my own body and able to monitor it calmly and peacefully.
Lisa
I have been on weeklong as well as weekend retreats with Kathryn and what I gain from this immersive approach helps re-set not just how my body feels but also allows time to enjoy the process of the discombobulated mind
finding equilibrium
Morgan
Immersives help boost confidence and have improved my focus.
By the end of the session
my mind is calm and I feel at peace.
It is very rare to be able to
sense and feel and adjust myself from moment to moment.
It's empowering.
